By participating, the entrant hereby releases, indemnifies and agrees to hold harmless, any directors, members and any other persons affiliated with Cabo Bar & Grill from any claim, damages, lawsuits and any other liability of whatsoever nature including but not limited to, personal injury, death or property damage resulting directly or indirectly from participant’s activities related to Cabo Bar & Grill or Seabrook Fishing Tournament. By signature entrant hereby agrees to all rules and regulations of this tournament.
Tournament Rules
for 13th Annual Seabrook Saltwater Derby
Early Entry
Fee is $100.00 per person: Early Registration ends on Wednesday, September 7,
2022. Late Entry Fee is $110.00 per person: All entry fees and registration
forms must be submitted NO LATER THAN Thursday, September 22, 2022 at noon.
There will be no entrants accepted after this DEADLINE.

Fish
Times: The tournament will start at 5:30 a.m. on SATURDAY, September
24, 2022 there is NO early check-in. You may be on your spot any time before
5:30 a.m. You may launch from any public ramp on the boundary waters.
Fish
Categories: There will be an Individual Redfish and Individual
Speckled Trout division, and a Team Stinger consisting
of 3 trout and 1 Red (must be legal slot Red). Fish may NOT be used
more than once throughout the tournament in any category or side pot. Each
angler may enter 1 trout over 25 inches per day in accordance with Texas Parks
& Wildlife and Federal Fishery rules and regulations.
Example for
Heaviest Team Stringer: (3) 3lb. trout and (1) 5lb. redfish equals 14lbs.
total. All fish must abide by federal & state regulations.
Any fish
brought to the weigh station that are not legal will result in automatic
disqualification of that fish. Redfish must be 20” and 28”. No tagged oversized
redfish will be allowed. Fish will be checked for freshness. Spoiled,
mutilated, deformed, frozen or gutted fish will be disqualified by the
certified weigh master. Fish may be gutted and examined, undigested fish
however introduced, will be removed. Only fish caught during fishing hours of
the tournament (5:30 a.m.- Must be in line with fish in hand at 3 p.m.) will
be accepted. No pulling fish with other entrants. The pulling of fish will
justify automatic disqualification. Tie: In the event of a tie, the first fish
entered will be the winner. The Weigh Master will have final decision
on all weighed fish.
Legal
Waters: Entrants may fish from public waters either by boat, wade
fishing, piers or banks. Boundaries are from Rollover Pass to San Luis Pass
including the beach front. All waters fished must be accessible to the public
and connected to the Galveston Bay estuary system.
Team
Definition: Registration must include number of participants per
team. A Team may consist of 1-4 anglers per boat (individual anglers
must still provide a Team name at registration). ALL Team participants
must fish from one boat only. All participants fishing as a Team must be
within eyesight of each-other throughout the tournament including boat, kayak,
wade, pier, or land.
Legal baits: Artificial
baits or natural baits are allowed. All fish entered must be caught legally
according to all Texas Parks and Wildlife and Federal fishing rules and
regulations
Safety
Requirements: All entrants must abide by state and federal regulations
when operating motor craft or water craft. Life jackets are recommended to be
worn at all times while fishing. Federal and state laws are in affect for the
consumption of alcohol. Boat engine kill switches must be utilized.
Weigh In: The
official Check-in & Weigh-in will take place at Cabo Bar &
Grill. Participants must Check-In and submit all fish for weigh-in by 3:00
p.m. If you are in line at 3:00 p.m. WITH FISH IN HAND,
then you have made the deadline and your fish will be weighed. These
times are strictly enforced with NO EXCEPTIONS made for delays
incurred on or off the water.
